We’ve been provided with this Introduction to Health Literacy online course from Hawkes Bay DHB.

We’ve been provided with this Introduction to Health Literacy online course from Hawkes Bay DHB. This course is also used by a number of DHBs around the country including Auckland and Counties-Manukau.

There is a version for DHB staff (https://tewharikiatoi.ac.nz/course/view.php?id=1697) and for non-DHB staff (https://tewharikiatoi.ac.nz/enrol/index.php?id=1696).  It’s the same content, just recorded differently. The course aims to provide information on how to communicate health information in a way that your patients and their whanau will understand - and reduce misunderstandings around treatment and improve patient outcomes.

If you don’t have a Te Whāriki ā Toi account, contact Online Learning at online.learning@bopdhb.govt.nz and they will set up an account for you.
